1.  Prospective owners that want a start in thoroughbred ownership by delegating responsibility for selecting and managing the racehorse or breeding stock to an experienced, professional manager; or

2.  More experienced owners that want to participate in racing on a limited basis without taking full responsibility for selecting and managing the horse.
