Pirate's Bid sets track record at Turfway Park!

Pirate's Bid set a new track record at Turfway Park on September 30, 2007. The "Bid", with Dylan Williams up, completed the 1 1/2-mile Starter Allowance race on Polytrack at Turfway in 2:34.66. His trainer, Dennis Moore, owners and friends also set a new noise record as they cheered him on to finish 3/4 of a length ahead of second best, Sir Dorset. Following this outstanding performance, Bid had his usual beer and pretzels celebration. Pirate's Bid is a 5-year-old bay gelding by Daufuskie Pirate - Timeless Bidder by Timeless Moment. Bid recently retired from racing to enjoy a second career as a hunter-jumper.
